Arts Day 2024 - A Time to Shine!

Last Wednesday, Clayfield celebrated its vibrant Arts Day, filled with activities and events that highlighted the community's creativity and talent.

The day kicked off with a strong start thanks to the House Dance event. The Staff Dance, featuring 'I'm Just Ken' from the Barbie movie, was a standout. Adjudicated by Jaya Fisher-Smith, all Houses competed fiercely, with Ashburn taking the win for the second year in a row, dancing to Dua Lipa's 'Dance the Night.' Well done, Ashburn!

During the middle session, students had the opportunity to dive into a wide range of workshops, including:

  • Chinese Yoga
  • Jazz Dance
  • Musical Theatre
  • Latin Dance
  • 'Making Beats' Technical Production
  • Theatre Make-up
  • Magical Sculptures
  • Graphite Drawing

Every student had a fantastic time participating in these creative activities.

The final session of the day was the House Choir, adjudicated by Brent Holland. He kicked off the session with a crowd-pleasing performance of 'Trade Winds.' All Houses performed wonderfully, but Radcliffe stole the show for the second consecutive year with their rendition of 'Walking on Sunshine' by Katrina and The Waves. Congratulations, Radcliffe!

Overall, the standings were:

1. Radcliffe

2. Ashburn, Henderson, Youngman (three-way tie)

3. Gibson

4. Campbell

A big shout-out to Radcliffe for winning Arts Day! Kudos to all Houses for their participation. We eagerly anticipate what next year's Arts Day has in store!
