Year 8 Outdoor Education Camp

This week our Year 8s are rising to all the challenges they encounter on camp at Lake Borumba.

They're rallying around each other during the long hikes, offering support to one another in trying mountain biking, taking in the scenes while canoeing, and working as a team to build rafts all while backing it up cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Well done Year 8!

Winter Uniform - Badges and Blazers

The new Winter uniform requires all badges, including leadership and College badges, to be worn on the left lapel on the blazer. Please refer to the Uniform Policy and images below.

Counting down to the Futures Expo - next Monday!

On Monday 10 June, we have universities, student accommodation (Colleges), TAFE, private VET training providers and the Defence Forces in the Assembly Hall at 3.15pm.

The Futures Expo is a key event for students in Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 to help with your subject selection and making post-high school study choices. Families and siblings are welcome to join us.

At the registration table, we will have a Futures Expo Starter Pack so you’re not stuck wondering what to ask. We have prepared ready-made questions in our Get Set for Work and Exit Prep careers classes so you have questions literally at your fingertips to ask our exhibitors.

And, new for this year, we have a prize draw for those who attend. We have six showbags of merchandise donated by each of the exhibitors. Each student will be given a ‘passport’ upon arrival which needs to be stamped or signed by six exhibitors and then popped into our entry box. Six winners will be drawn at the end of the Futures Expo.

Make sure you have saved the date in your diaries!

Gibson House Free Dress Fundraiser

Supporting Drought Angels

On Thursday 13 June, Gibson House invites you to dress like a farmer to support the Drought Angels.

As a convenience to our families, we would like you to donate to our charities collectively. We have therefore set up this payment link for you, giving you one less thing to remember to bring into school for Dress Up Days.

Please click on the link below and navigate to College Tours, Excursions and Activities, then House Fundraisers 2024. There is a $2 contribution per fundraiser ($12 in total).

End of Term 2

A reminder that Friday 14 June is a Student Free Day. Therefore, the last day for students is Thursday 13 June. With students still engaged in learning, it is expected that all students attend school through to the end of term.
