Sporting Teams - Sign up with DCS for 2025
A great aspect of community at DCS centers around students and parents coming together. One avenue of this is the sporting teams. Each year we have many students and parents involved in the sporting teams at DCS. We field teams in the following sports; Soccer, Netball, Basketball and Touch Football (during Term 4). Parents, please be aware that some sports do have a minimum age requirement.
Sign up now using the form below to be included in the DCS teams (please note, your official sign-up and registration for the sport is usually done through each sporting organisation, this initial sign-up form is so DCS can form our teams and you do not miss out on playing with DCS).
Please note that this is an expression of interest only and teams will be created as forms are returned. It is recommended that forms are completed early to ensure a place in your child’s preferred sporting team. Any student with unpaid registration at the beginning of the season will forfeit their place as team members must be registered before play commences.
The fun of the sporting community is being involved. As a parent, if you are interested in helping with coaching, or the sports committee assisting in putting teams together with administration, please complete your details below.
Please remember that Devonport Christian School is a child safe organisation. All coaches, volunteers and parent helpers are required to comply with the DCS Child Protection Policy, hold a current Working with Vulnerable People card and have completed our Volunteer and Parent Helpers Course for 2025.

Ticket to Play Sports Voucher Program
Ticket to Play provides two vouchers up to $100 each towards club membership for children aged 5-18 years and listed on a Centrelink Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card or in Out of Home Care. Vouchers can be used either both at one activity provider, or at two different activity providers.

Welcome to the 2025 DBC Inc. Winter Primary School roster.
IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ ALL THE TEXT BELOW SO THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THE REGISTRATION AND DOOR FEE PROCESS TO ENSURE YOUR CHILD IS REGISTERED AND YOU ARE PAYING THE CORRECT FEES. The Devonport Basketball Council Inc. will continue to run the 2025 Winter Primary School roster as school-based teams for children in Years 1 to 6. For schools that do not have enough players to field a full team the DBC Inc. will combine schools.
Years 1 & 2 roster will commence on Wednesday 19th March and will run through until 2nd July (12 weeks). No games will be played during the school holidays on 16th and 23rd April and on the 28th May and 4th June due to NWBU finals.
During the roster we will hold 2 skills sessions for all Year 1 and 2 children where there will be no games played on 9th April and 21st May, however DBC coaches and players will take children to help develop their skills.
Skills sessions will be held on:
9th April (Round 4 games)
Girls from 3.30 pm until 4.30 pm and boys from 4.30 pm until 5.30 pm.
21st May (Round 8 games)
Boys will be from 3.30 pm until 4.30 pm and girls from 4.30 pm until 5.30 pm.
Year 3 & 4 and 5 & 6 rosters will commence on Friday 14th March and run through until 27th June (12 weeks). There will be no games played during the school holidays on 18th and 25th June and on 30th May and 6th June due to NWBU finals.
2025 WINTER REGISTRATION FEES
It is a requirement of Basketball Tasmania that all players register online through PlayHQ.
Basketball Tasmania, NWBU and Basketball Australia registration fees will only be shown if you are not already registered for the upcoming winter roster. If you are not registered fees will automatically be calculated on your year of birth.
Basketball Tasmania fee for 12 months is $45.00 for U10 and U12 age groups and $70.00 for U14s and above. The NWBU fee can be paid for 6 or 12 months, and Basketball Australia levy is a 12 month fee.
All players will be required to pay the DBC fee of $40.00.
Registration fees are made up of the following components:
Basketball Tasmania Fee - 12 month fee of $45.00 (for U10 and U12 players) and $70.00 forU14 players - compulsory state registration also includes insurance in the unlikely event of aninjury.
NWBU Inc. Fee - 12 month fee of $11-00 or 6 month fee of $5.50 – compulsory fee to play in any competition on the NW Coast. Basketball Australia levy – 12 month fee of $5.61 – compulsory levy set by BA.
DBC Inc. Fee $40-00 – club registration to Devonport Basketball Council Inc to participate in the winter primary school roster.
For children that qualify for TICKET TO PLAY you will register through the link below and click I have a Government Voucher (in payment/summary page), add your TTP voucher details which will cover fees up to $100.00 for the one voucher. Anything over you will be required to pay or use your second voucher if still current.
2025 WINTER WEEKLY DOOR FEES
These will again be paid upfront and included in the registration process. This worked ideally for the club and players in both the 2024 winter and spring rosters.
The upfront door/playing fee will be $35.00 based on 12 roster games. This will be in addition to the normal registration fees (Basketball Tasmania, NWBU, Basketball Australia and DBC).
PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN PAYING FEES THE DBC REGISTRATION FEE OF $40.00 AND UPFRONT WEEKLYDOOR FEE OF $35.00 ARE LISTED AS ASSOCIATION PLAYER REGISTRATION FEE OF $75.00.
Should this arrangement cause hardship or stop your child from playing please contact us to come to an arrangement, as the last thing we want to do is stop anyone from participating.
PLAYHQ also gives participants the choice to pay fees in instalments using “PayPal Pay in 4 option”
Please note the club has not increased registration or door fees for several years now although we have seen increased costs in running the roster and keeping the club operating.

2025 Basketball Winter Roster-Secondary
Devonport Basketball will run a winter high school roster commencing on Wednesday 19th March. Below you will find some upcomi roster information.
Ideally, we would like to run separate boys and girls Year 7/8 and Year 9/10 rosters in school teams however this will depend on numbers.
If required, we will ask schools to place students into teams.
Registrations are now open with closing date on Wednesday 26th February.

The 2025 NWFL football season is fast approaching!
Devonport Football Club & Coach Sam Borlini would like to invite anyone keen to give football a try to come along and join in our training sessions – all experience levels are welcomed, no experience necessary!!
