Art

Welcome back to Art for Term 2 - Now on a Tuesdays!

Room 2 is after recess and Room 1 finishes up their day with Art with their session after lunch.

For the first week we continued the tradition of making a wreath to be laid at the Heyfield Cenotaph on Anzac Day.  Although there was some groans and trepidation when the sewing equipment was produced, students took on the challenge of creating an original and unique wreath using buttons, fabric, needles, and cotton.

With encouragement and help, it was wonderful to see students step outside their comfort zones and learn a new skill...although button sewing will be revisited later on in the year.

This week we are using salt dough to make handprints and have produced some very interesting creations. I am looking forward to the final result after a coat of paint on Tuesday.

Hopefully they will be able to be sent home (in bubble wrap) by the end of the week! (Just in time for some special people to receive on Sunday!).
