Starting the day with breakfast gives our students the best chance to feel ready for learning. After a big night of sleep, their bodies and brains need fuel to get going. A good breakfast helps with focus, energy, and remembering new learning, so students can start the day feeling calm, settled, and confident.
We know mornings can be busy for families, so our Breakfast Club is open from 8.30am. It is a relaxed and welcoming space where students can enjoy something to eat, have a chat with friends, and ease into the school day.
Everyone is always welcome and it is a great way to start the day the Cowwarr way, together 😊

Hi everyone,
I have recently completed Lego Club training, which has strengthened my ability to support students in a structured and engaging way. Through this training, I developed a better understanding of how to use Lego-based activities to promote teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. I learned strategies to guide students effectively, encourage participation, and create an inclusive environment where all students feel supported.
While I've been at school, I have supported a Lego Club that provided students with a creative space to build, collaborate, and socialise. I helped organise materials, set up activities, and guide students as they worked on their designs. I supported students in sharing ideas, taking turns, and working together respectfully. This experience, combined with my training, has strengthened my confidence in supporting diverse learners and creating positive, engaging learning experiences.
Here are a few of the builds we have been working on 😊

Hi all! Super excited to be in my new role, which is supporting students 1:1 and encouraging them to achieve the best from their learning.
This week, Julian and I have had the opportunity to work on a few different projects and we’ve had some amazing results. These projects included making a mobile with Minior Pokémon and some sushi.
Our Minior Mobile was made with some sticks we collected, painted black and covered in glitter. We then attached some string to hang the Miniors from, making sure the string matched the Minior colour. The end product looks incredible!
For the sushi, Julian and I made the sushi rice from scratch. We chose our filling which was smoked salmon and cucumber. Together we assembled (and consumed) about three sushi rolls. Safe to say it was quite delicious! Julian and I discussed what to do with the left-over ingredients and it was decided that we would make some more rolls to cut up and share with staff and room 1. Those who chose to have some sushi really enjoyed it and gave some great compliments.
I’m really enjoying the change of timetable and how smoothly it is allowing the senior room to run. I am also loving being outside for either all of recess or lunch. It is allowing 'me' moments to catch up with all the students and hear all about what they’re up to.
That’s all from me, till next bell!

Welcome to the new series of ‘Taylors Skool Skoop’ 🤙
I'd like to start off by saying welcome back for term 2 everyone! Coming back to school for the start of the new term has been something I’ve genuinely looked forward to, especially seeing the students again, it really does feel like catching up with some friends.
There’s been such a positive energy in the classroom, and it’s been amazing to see how well the students have settled back into routines. A highlight for me so far this term would be having the opportunity to work closely alongside students in our small group interventions. It's rewarding to see their growth in skills and confidence in both word fluency and letter naming fluency.
Cross Country was also a fantastic day, with great participation, enthusiasm, and support shown by all the students. I'm super keen for what the rest of the term will bring 😁

Looking forward to sharing next week’s SKOOP 🤙
