Term 2 Week 8
While the vast majority of fixtures were cancelled over the weekend due to the wet weather, there was still an action- packed day of football on SPC 2. The First XI played valiantly despite going down to Oakhill 2-1.
In other matches:
- 16A Football team had a 2-0-win
- 15A 4-0-win
- 14A 4-1 and
- 13A drew 1-1.
Overall, much better Football results compared to when we took on Oakhill in the first round, which is testament to the hard work and dedication of all our footballers at SPC.
A huge congratulations goes out to Luke Costello of Year 12 for winning the 2024 Waterford Mile. As usual it was a hotly contested race with students of all ages giving their all. Well done to Luke and all the other competitors.
Congratulations to Mitchell Woods of Year 12, who was selected for the New South Wales U19 State of Origin team. He went into camp over the weekend and will play on Thursday night. Best of luck Mitchell.
A reminder that this coming weekend is the last round of fixtures for Term 2 and we will recommence after the holidays on Saturday 27 July, hopefully it will be a much dryer term without as many fixtures being cancelled.
