Intermediate and Seniors Boys and Girls Table Tennis

On Thursday 3 July the Nossal High School Intermediate Boys and Girls Table Tennis teams showcased their amazing skills at the Intermediate Division Table Tennis competition.

The day began with an exciting win over Fountain Gate High School, where the boys' teams’ remarkable teamwork and sportsmanship help us secure all six matches against the opposition.

We progressed onto the second round and unleashed another impressive performance against Berwick College, again with a complete whitewash that ultimately propelled us to the final against Gleneagles Secondary College.

With focus and strategy, we emerged victorious and secured a spot in the SMR Table Tennis Championship.

Congratulations to our Table Tennis teams for their dedication and best of luck for regionals!

Thank you very much for a great day Arjun, Yatharth, Malisha, Reyan and Kevin. Bring on regionals later in the year!

During Division level table tennis, my teammates Saina, Nitya, Hashini, Sophy and Isabella and I had an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow table tennis enthusiasts from multiple schools.

Whilst I only competed in two official matches; against Gleneagles, my team faced Fountain Gate Secondary in both singles and doubles matches, exposing us to diverse playing styles and skill levels. One of the schools was one player short so I was able to fill in for them when they played their other school and this helped me make friends and get to know new people which was great.

Besides the competitive matches, I enjoyed numerous casual games with both my teammates and our competitors. The sportsmanship displayed throughout the tournament was truly exceptional! Players shared food together, congratulated each other with handshakes, and created a fun, welcoming atmosphere that went beyond 'competition'.

I am excited about the prospect of experiencing this same camaraderie again at regionals!

The Senior Boys team consisting of Dhiira, Josh, Do and Sachin and the Senior Girls team consisting of Marion, Mehar, Julie and Sayu both faced strong opposition but were able to record wins in their pool matches and were victorious in their Grand Finals to advance to Regionals coming up Tuesday 29 July, good luck everyone!

A big thank you to Ms. Bhola and Ms. Kim for taking and supporting us and for Mr. Armistead who coached us before the competition and was the official Casey North convenor running the whole tournament on the day.  Go Nossal!

Senior B Netball Division Tournament

Date: Monday 28 July

Location: Jubilee Park, Frankston

On Thursday 25 July, the Senior Girls netball team competed in the SMR Division Finals. Despite our best efforts, we faced some tough competition throughout the day, from Kambrya College and SEDA Dandenong.

Even though the scoreboard wasn’t in our favour, our team spirit stayed high throughout the day, with plenty of laughter, encouragement, and great moments of teamwork both on and off the court.

It was a fun day out with friends and a great opportunity to build our netball skills and experience. We are proud of how we represented the school and supported one another throughout the game.

A big thank you to our coach Mr Sacco and Miss Cilia for making this day possible and for all their support and guidance.
