Cricket News

The Calrossy Year 8/9 Cricket team suffered a heartbreaking loss in their Grand Final on Thursday afternoon against Carinya. Tight bowling from Hudson Clunas, Max Brown and Hayden Evans kept the score within reach. while Quinn Magill, Toby Ireland and Sterling Wheatley each took a wicket.

Carinya set 133 for Calrossy to chase, which seemed within reach. Hayden Evans played a composed but aggresive inningsnthat saw him retired on 30, while Toby Ireland and Hudson Clunas belted the attack to also be retired.

A stunning late-order collapse saw Hayden Evans return to the crease but was stranded unbeaten on 43 which the team buckled with only three runs needed.
