A Taste of Japan

Our school was delighted to welcome a group of Japanese students as part of a cultural exchange experience. During their visit, the students stayed with local host families, giving them the opportunity to experience everyday life in Australia and learn more about our culture and community. While at school, they joined classes, met students and staff, and enjoyed learning about life at our school. It was a wonderful opportunity to build new friendships, share cultures, and create meaningful connections that highlighted the value of global learning and understanding.

A Recipe for Success

Students put their cooking skills to the test by preparing a delicious apple crumble served with warm custard. Throughout the lesson, they practised important kitchen skills such as measuring ingredients, preparing fruit, following a recipe and working safely in the kitchen. The finished desserts were a great reward for their hard work, with students enjoying the opportunity to create and taste a classic homemade treat.

Meet Our Woolly Friend

Students and staff were treated to a delightful surprise when a friendly baby lamb came to visit the school. The special visitor brought plenty of smiles and excitement as everyone had the chance to meet, pat and learn a little more about the young animal.

Your Path, Your Choice

Year 8 students have recently been completing and submitting their Year 9 subject selections for 2027. This important process has encouraged students to think about their interests, strengths and future pathways as they make decisions about their learning for next year. We appreciate the time and effort students and families have put into considering the available options, and we look forward to seeing students continue to explore their passions and interests as they move into Year 9.

Hands-On, Minds-On

Our Year 8 students recently were lucky enough to have the opportunity for an exciting day of hands-on learning and innovation! Students had the opportunity to explore new technology, get creative and challenge themselves through practical activities. It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, trying new things and learning skills that connect the classroom to the real world!

Who Will Claim Checkmate?

Our College Chess Team had a fantastic day on Wednesday 5th August, travelling to Pakenham to take part in their very first chess tournament. The team consisted of 14 students from Years 7–12, who put their strategic thinking and concentration to the test across seven 30-minute matches throughout the day.

It was a fantastic achievement from all of our students, particularly as this was their first experience competing in a tournament of this kind. They showed great focus, perseverance and sportsmanship, making it a wonderful day for the team!
