English Week

The much-anticipated 2025 English Week is just around the corner, set to take place in Week Five of this term. 

This event is a cornerstone of our learning community, celebrating our rich culture of reading and education. Furthermore, we have the added excitement of coinciding with Children’s Book Week, with the theme being ‘Book an Adventure.’ 

English Week will feature several key events: 

• Monday, 18 August: Whole school costume dress-up and parade, Amazing Book Race Part 1 (online)
• Tuesday, 19 August: Amazing Book Race Part 2 (online), Amazing Book Swap
• Thursday 21 August: Amazing Book Race Part 3 (final, online), Write a Book in a Day

Please note that on Monday, 18 August students and staff are invited to dress up as their favourite book or film character. There will be a parade and photoshoot during Break One in the Jubilee Gardens, and of course prizes for the best dressed will be awarded. 

On Tuesday, 19 August, students and staff are also encouraged to bring a book to swap.
