Science Week

As part of our Science Week celebrations, our Year 11 Physics students took learning to new heights at iFly! From understanding the physics of wind tunnels to feeling the exhilarating sensation of freefall, students experienced science in action. It was the perfect combination of STEM learning, hands on fun and exploring concepts like forces, motion, and aerodynamics while soaring in a safe, controlled environment. A huge thank you to iFly for hosting such an unforgettable day!
Continuing our Science Week celebrations, on Wednesday we held a Science Quiz during Break Two as well as a 'Science Movie Afternoon' after school where students explored the mysteries of the ocean withDavid Attenborough’s Oceans documentary.
Then on Thursday, we hosted an Animal Ark incursion which allowed students to explore the biology and ecology of native reptiles, amphibians, and insects. The incursion helped to support and engage students with the biology curriculum of their science courses.
On Friday, students participated in a school-wide colouring activity, contributing to posters featuring famous scientists. These posters will become the new House patrons for Science and will decorate our future K-block science classrooms.
