Tallon Scott
At All Saints’ Primary School, we aim to acquire our ten valuable habits. Our learning habit for this month is ‘Responsible Risk-taking’.
Tallon displays the characteristics of a responsible risk-taker.
He seizes every opportunity to extend his learning. Tallon is more willing than most to step out of his comfort zone to challenge himself with new ideas. He is very adaptable in new situations and keen to dive into the inquiry. Tempered with this enthusiasm is the conscious decision to be responsible for maintaining focus on the goal and carefully following the process in the success criteria. Tallon will suggest ways in which he could take his learning to the next step, even before I can!
He shows a healthy balance of curiosity, confidence and caution, always checking in with teachers and gaining feedback to guide his next steps on the journey. Any small setbacks are calculated, quickly added to his knowledge bank, and never deter his ambition. Difficult or too hard are not words you hear in Tallon's lexicon.
Thank you, Tallon, for role-modelling ‘responsible risk-taking’ to All Saints’.
