Fresh Fruit Friday
McKern Foundation
The McKern Foundation has been running our Fresh Fruit Friday program since 2015.
We currently support 35 schools across Bendigo by providing free fresh fruit, along with school visits that promote healthy and active living. We’re able to deliver this program with the support of our ambassador partners such as the Bendigo Braves and Bendigo Spirit coming to school visits, as well as our generous funding partners.

The Zone Fun Park Bendigo
Looking for the coolest school holiday fun? For a limited time only, The Zone’s roller skating rink is transforming into a real ice skating rink for Winter Wonderland at The Zone! From Saturday June 27 to Sunday July 19, experience the magic of ice skating right here in Bendigo — but don’t wait, it’s only here for these school holidays and won’t be around forever!
Sensory-Friendly Ice Skating Sessions will also be held 9:30am from 13th-17th July 2026
These sessions have been specifically designed to provide a more comfortable and inclusive environment for children, teens, and families who may benefit from a lower-sensory experience. Adjustments include reduced music volume and a calmer atmosphere to helpparticipants enjoy ive skating at their own pace.
