Expectation Spotlight – Weeks 5 & 6
Care for Environment
“We follow our expected/school routines”
For Weeks 5 and 6, our Expectation Spotlight is focused on Care for Environment through the expectation: “We follow our expected/school routines.”
At St Mary’s, routines help create calm, safe and supportive learning environments where all students can thrive. Whether it is moving calmly between learning spaces, being ready to learn, listening to instructions the first time or using respectful voices, these routines help our school day run smoothly for everyone.
Throughout the fortnight, staff will continue explicitly teaching and reinforcing what this expectation looks like, sounds like and feels like across different school settings. Students will be recognised for demonstrating positive routines and helping contribute to a calm and organised learning environment.
By working together and following our school routines, we help ensure St Mary’s continues to be a safe, respectful and welcoming place for all.
