Welcome Lunch
One of the highlights of the year in boarding is the Welcome Lunch, as students and families return from the summer holidays. Thank you to Aboriginal Elder, Uncle Lester Coyne for his continued support of the school by delivering the Welcome to Country.
The Welcome Lunch is an opportunity for the Head of Boarding, Principal and Deputy Principals to welcome families; new boarders to be greeted and given their boarding caps; to introduce our boarding staff and our Boarding Captain, Chloe Climie, to talk about her passion for boarding and the community it provides.
Thank you to all those families who took the opportunity to meet with the boarding and day staff who were present and make our new families feel quickly connected into our GSG community. It was a lovely time of connection with families, new and established, and we look forward to other opportunities this year to connect with our boarding community.
House Routines 2025
With the Year Nine cohort moving to the Senior Houses this year, our House Routines have been revised. These are displayed on large posters in each house so that they are clear to all students. These routines can be best viewed by clicking the links below.
Baudin - Pink Day
Baudin has their annual Pink fundraising/dress up day for Breast Cancer research on Thursday 27 March. Students can wear pink items for the day and bring a gold coin for the fundraiser. There is also a cake stall at recess, so students should bring a few extra coins for a yummy treat.
Please encourage your children to find some pink items to bring back to boarding after the Closed Weekend, ready for Pink Day in Week Eight.
Wagin Woolorama
Great Southern Grammar staff are looking forward to an action-packed Wagin Woolorama on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 March.
A warm invitation is extended to current and prospective families to meet up over light refreshments at Dome (Deli Room) Katanning, on Saturday 8 March from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
Please RSVP via julia.bairstow@gsg.wa.edu.au
