As part of the Literacy program in Term 3, students will be learning and reviewing the following sounds:

Over this term we will also enjoy books such as ‘The boy who tried to shrink his name’ by Sandhya Parappukkaran, ‘Jetty Jump’ by Andrea Rowe, ‘Migaloo the white whale’ by Mark Wilson, and ‘Dingo’ by Claire Saxby. 

Through these texts, students will explore themes such as 

• Passion and creativity 
• Self-expression
• Problem-solving and teamwork 
• Honesty versus deception
• Justice and consequences
• Paying attention to detail. 
• These rich texts will support class discussions, comprehension skills, and deeper thinking about the messages and ideas within stories.

As part of our home learning, students will continue to engage in reading decodable texts.
