Principal's Report 

Dear SEPS Families, 

Welcome back to Semester 2. We hope you all enjoyed the Winter Break, especially those who got to travel to warmer weather. It has been fun guessing which exotic location braids and beads were from! It was also lovely catching up with those who loved staying in their PJs on cold mornings and visiting family and friends throughout the break.

School Hours

A reminder that school hours are 8:50am – 3:30pm. Doors open at 8:50am for a soft start and explicit instruction begins at 9am. SEPS grounds are supervised by staff from 8:45am until 3:40pm. Outside of these hours, school staff are not available to supervise students. Breakfast Club is open from 8:20am. Please note that the games on the oval and playscape are not permitted before school. If students are not collected by an adult immediately after school, they are asked to move straight to the office. We can then phone parents/carers and ensure students are safe. Please discuss this with your child.      

School Spectacular

We are excited for the Victorian Schools Spectacular in a few weeks time. Earlier this year, 16 students from Year 5 & 6 were selected to represent our school in dance. They have been training hard with Ms Steel and learning several dances for the Mass Dance routines in the Spectacular. Unfortunately, tickets sold out in 15 minutes! We will keep you posted if more tickets become available. Hopefully it will be televised at some stage.  

Swimming

Our swimming program started last week and as such we are running with an alternate specialist timetable. Please see you class Connect for full details. It is a timely reminder that any parents or carers who would like to volunteer to support activities like this, are required to complete our volunteers training module and have a Working With Childrens Check. Please do not hesitate to contact the office if you require further information.  

School Policies

Please note that school policies are updated regularly on the School Website. Hard copies are also available on request from the front office. Quite often we only need to look at policies at point of need however it is great to know that they are there to guide our community and keep our students safe. Please do not hesitate to contact the office if cannot locate any information that you are seeking.
