Principal's Message

Mr Ben Morgan | Principal

Dear Families,

Thank you for another great term of learning, engagement and connection. It has been a pleasure to see our Grade 5 and 6 students participate in Football and Netball, our musicians, singers and dancers shine in the Spring Concert, and students participating in the Sacramental Program. We have enjoyed the journey of learning with all of our students and believe every student has made great progress. We are looking forward to another exciting term, with students commencing on October 14.

Please note the change to the final day of term 4 - students will now finish on Wednesday December 17. We hope you can make it to our final assembly at 11:50am on this date.

Student attendance continues to be a major focus for us here at John Paul II Catholic School. We understand that often students become ill, and it is important to keep them home whilst they have conditions which may spread. We are aiming to minimise unnecessary absences and late arrivals. Every time your child is absent you are required to notify the office. This helps us to track explained absences and unauthorised absences, and allows us to offer support as needed. Many of our educational programs are in a sequence and although we revisit new concepts, students who are frequently absent often find it difficult to catch up. Please make contact with us if there are any barriers to attendance and we will help you to make a plan.

We hope all of our students have a great break, and can’t wait to see them all again next term!
