Precept Art
Students have been exploring precepts. Precepts are rules about important things, serving as a personal motto or guiding principle to help with decision-making and behaviour. Once students chose their precept, they had to create a colourful graffiti design. They created their artwork with chalk around the external school buildings. Here are some of our precepts we have chosen:
Beau - Follow your dreams, they know the way.
Molly - Fix the world and make it right when darkness finally meets the light.
Ruby S - Think before you type.
Millie - Life is a journey, so live it.
Jed - Life is short, and it is here to be lived.
Ray - Never let yourself down.
Flynn - Don’t stop smiling.
Nash - You’ll never find a rainbow if you’re looking down.
Xavier - Be kind to people.
Tommie - Good things take time.
Science - Animal Adaptations
Students have been learning about the way animals adapt to survive in their environment. We have looked at the 3 types of adaptations: structural, behavioural and physiological. Students have chosen an animal to research and have written an information report on their animal. This included the habitat they live in, their appearance, their diet and their adaptations. They are now creating their own animal. They have to decide on the biome (habitat) they live in, and the adaptations their animal has to help them survive in this environment. We have been creating posters on our creations.
