Athletics Carnival
What a day to remember! After the original date was postponed, the much-anticipated Athletics Carnival finally went ahead, this time under crisp, chilly skies. But the cold couldn’t dampen the spirit or energy of our students, who turned up in full force with smiles on their faces and an unstoppable sense of enthusiasm.
From the first race to the final event, the track was buzzing with cheers, colour, and determination. A staggering 10 school records were smashed, showcasing the incredible talent and drive of our athletes.
A massive congratulations to all of our event winners and participants—you made the day a true celebration of school spirit, effort, and achievement.
A special shoutout to Ewan Hamilton and Averie Briggs, who were honoured with the Spirit of St Joey’s Award for their outstanding attitude, encouragement, and all-round positivity throughout the carnival.

West Ham United Soccer Camp
During the recent school holidays, William took part in a soccer competition run by West Ham United Football Club in conjunction with George Cowie Football. West Ham United is a professional soccer club based in Stratford, East London, and competes in the English Premier League – the top tier of English football.
Out of all the participants from camps held across Australia and New Zealand, Will was selected to progress to the next stage – an elite 4-day camp on the Gold Coast, QLD. This upcoming camp will feature intensive coaching and competitive games led by professional coaches from West Ham United and across Australasia.
If Will impresses at this level, he may earn a place on the West Ham Development Tour in the UK in 2026 – an incredible opportunity!
We’re so proud of Will and have all our fingers and toes crossed for the next stage. Go Will!
