School Fees - Important Update : Change to Bank Account

This letter serves as an important notification regarding an upcoming change to our banking details, which will affect how you make payments to St Joseph's and Armidale Catholic Schools (ACS).

Please be advised that the school’s bank account will be closed on 31 August 2025. To ensure your school fee payments continue without interruption, please update your payment method to one of the following options before this date:

BPay (preferred method of payment) - details can be found on your monthly statement which is emailed to you. Please note: Bpay payment can be set up to recur similar to recurring direct debits.
Compass Pay via the Compass Portal - please contact your school reception if you need assistance in accessing the portal
EFTPOS at the school office

Any direct debit payments made to the schools current bank account after this date may be rejected by Armidale Diocesan Investment Group.

Just a quick reminder that this year School Fees were billed on an annual basis at the commencement of the School Year and our standard payment terms for the current year fees are 10 monthly installments from February to November.

Please refer to your compass portal to view your outstanding balance or refer to your emailed monthly statement to view your instalment schedule.

We understand that administrative changes can sometimes be inconvenient, and we sincerely appreciate your cooperation and prompt attention to this matter.

Thank you - Book covering

Thank you to our parents who assisted with covering books, and those who offered to assist. Your help with this was greatly appreciated. For those interested in covering more books please keep an eye on Compass as we will be sending out another notification shortly.

Hair

A reminder that students hair should be neat and tidy. Patterns shaved into hair, dyed hair or 'rat's tails', 'horsey', undercuts or mullets are not permitted at school. Children with long hair should wear it tied up off their shoulders in a ponytail or braid, and only school-coloured (navy, gold/yellow) ribbons or bows are to be worn in their hair.

Canteen Ordering Times

A gentle reminder that the cut off time for canteen ordering is 9am on the day of the order. Unfortunately we are unable to accept late orders, this is due to the Compass canteen program. Please ensure that all orders are placed before 9am to avoid disappointment.

Book Week & Grandparents' Day

We are looking forward to celebrating Book Week and Grandparents' Day on Friday 22nd August. See the Library section of the Newsletter for further details on the Book Parade and Book Fair. Parents are also welcome to attend on the day. We look forward to seeing you there!

Father's Day Breakfast - Save the Date

Lost Property

We have a number of items in our lost property that have not been claimed. Can you please make sure that all uniform items are clearly labelled with your child's name so they can be returned. It is impossible to return items that are not labelled or unreadable. Your assistance with this is greatly appreciated.

Mobile Phones

Please remind your child that if they are bringing a mobile phone to school, they must hand it into the office at the beginning of the day. They are stored securely and students can collect them at the end of the day. Thank you for your support with this.

P&F Meeting

The next P&F meeting will be held next Tuesday, 28th October at 5:30pm in the library. All parents and friends are welcome to attend.

Supervision of Students

A gentle reminder that supervision of students begins until 8.15am each day.

St Joseph's gates open at 8:15am each morning. To ensure all children are kept safe, please do not drop them off at school before this time to be left unsupervised.

Application for Extended Leave

Family holidays and travel are no longer considered under the Exemption from School Procedures. Travel outside of vacation periods is now counted as an absence for statistical purposes. Please see the office if your child will be away from school for 10 days or more as an application form will need to be completed and approved at the discretion of the Principals or delegate.

Change in Routine

Can you please advise the school office before 2:30pm if there is any change in your child's afternoon routine so we have time to let them know.
