Welcoming Social Work Student Bianca Willis to Our Wellbeing Team

We are delighted to welcome Bianca Willis to Moama Anglican Grammar as she joins our Wellbeing Team for her final Social Work placement with La Trobe University. Bianca will be with us until the end of the school year, working under the supervision of our Social Worker, Emily Flanigan, and Youth Worker, Liz Smith.

Bianca brings extensive experience in the child and family services sector, having worked in case management and leadership roles with organisations including Berry Street and FamilyCare. She brings a warm, strengths-based approach and is passionate about supporting the emotional wellbeing, resilience and development of children and young people.

Throughout her placement, Bianca will contribute to a range of wellbeing initiatives across the School. Students may meet Bianca through classroom wellbeing programs, small group activities and general interactions within the Wellbeing Hub. Where Bianca is involved in individualised or ongoing wellbeing support with a student, this will occur in accordance with the School's wellbeing processes, including seeking parent/carer consent where required.

As part of her professional placement, Bianca is required to adhere to Moama Anglican Grammar's policies and procedures, as well as the professional standards and requirements of Social Work practice.

We are excited to have Bianca as part of our School community and look forward to the positive contribution she will make while completing the final stage of her Social Work degree.

Volunteer Inductions

At Moama Anglican Grammar, we recognise the valuable part volunteers play in helping our students flourish in our school community. We welcome parents, carers, guardians, or community members to become registered volunteers to enable them to be involved in the variety of student activities we offer at our school.

To become a registered volunteer, you are required to complete both the Volunteer Induction and Agreement. We have recently updated our process, and families can now complete these steps online. To begin, please contact the Primary Office by emailing psreception@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au or calling 03 5480 5950.

Volunteers require a current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC). The WWCC is a requirement for anyone who works or volunteers in child-related work in NSW. It involves a National Police Check (criminal history record check) and a review of reportable workplace misconduct. The Check is FREE for volunteers, and the link below provides further information on how to obtain a WWCC online.
