Celebrating Springtime Concert 2026
What an incredible evening of music at our 2026 Springtime Concert! With 32 performances across the evening, our students showcased an exceptional range of talent, musicianship and dedication. It was wonderful to see so many students take to the stage and share their music with our community, and we are incredibly proud of the progress and confidence they continue to demonstrate as performers.
An event like this really does create a village, and so I will now do my very best to acknowledge all who played an important role in bringing this Secondary Music showcase to life.
A sincere thank you to our wonderful team of music tutors, Kim Kneebone, Georgina Bish, Tomoko Niwa, Margaret Monro, Delena Gaffney, Chris McDonald, Trent Eacott, Kevin Kiely, Chandra Hale, Indiya Davey, Charlie Bedford and Shane McGrath, for the time, encouragement and expertise they provide to our students throughout the year. We particularly acknowledge Kevin, Chandra, Indiya and Shane for their work in preparing their respective ensembles for the concert.
We also extend our thanks to our fantastic support team, including our Maintenance team for their assistance with arranging the stage and seating, our IT staff, Danny Hindson for his valued lighting support, and Tanya Main for creating the official concert programs and capturing the evening through photography. A special thank you to Shane McGrath for organising and providing the outstanding sound production that allowed our performers to sound their very best throughout the evening.
We are especially proud of the students who contributed behind the scenes, including Cohen Behrick (Year 7) on videography, Nethika Yahathugoda (Year 11) on the lighting board, Tiia Shiells managing presentations, Drumline Captain Toby Chivers and Student Leader Andrew Barber assisting backstage, and Secondary Music Captain Neave Dullard as our wonderful MC for the night.
Most importantly, congratulations to all of our performers. Your hard work, preparation and courage to share your music on stage made the evening such a success. Thank you also to our families for their continued support of our students and their musical journeys.
Students who are yet to collect their Springtime Concert Certificate can visit Mr Hearn in JS4 at any time during the remainder of Term 3.

K–12 Assembly Musical Items
Our K–12 Assembly provided another wonderful opportunity to showcase the musical talent and growing confidence of our students. Jasmine Costin provided a beautiful piano accompaniment for the National Anthem, alongside Cabe Ludlow on guitar and our Senior Singers. Thank you to all involved for helping us begin the assembly so confidently.
We were then treated to a stunning vocal duet from Maelle Lyle and Lila Mislicki, who performed I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables. Their exceptional vocal quality, professionalism and musical expression were a real highlight and demonstrated their passion and talent as young vocalists. Well done, Maelle and Lila!
Father’s Day Celebrations – Musical Performances
Our Father’s Day Celebrations were filled with fantastic musical performances from across the Secondary School. The Year 7 Girls Rock Band, supported by tutor Shane McGrath, opened proceedings with an energetic performance of Scar by Missy Higgins, featuring Lila Mislicki, Rosie Grant, Ivy Cladingboel, Billie Chapman, Jasmin Costin and Holly Pritchard.
The Year 10 Girls Rock Band, supported by tutor Charlie Bedford, followed with Pure by Sienna Spiro and Poster Boy by Lyn Lapid. Congratulations to Montana Spicer, Alanna McKee, Olivia Frazer, Maya Wise, Grace McMaster and Jencie Dunn for a confident and engaging performance.
To finish the morning, our Mass Drumline, led by Kevin Kiely, delivered an impressive display of rhythm and energy. Congratulations to Elsie Stevens, Sophie Frazer, William Eacott, Lily Wildes, Meadow Deller, Lyla Bassett, Evie Townrow, Keisha Hall, Will Bourke, Billie Chapman, Isabel Townrow, Harry Nichol and Toby Chivers for an outstanding performance.
A huge thank you to our music tutors Shane McGrath, Charlie Bedford and Kevin Kiely for their ongoing encouragement and support of our students. Most importantly, congratulations to all of our performers for putting on such a wonderful musical celebration for our fathers and father figures.
Calling all Musicians & Songwriters
A brilliant local opportunity is coming to Echuca this October!
Festival of Stories is bringing together music, storytelling and community, with opportunities for local musicians and songwriters to get involved and share their work.
If you love writing songs, performing, creating music or telling stories through song, this is a fantastic opportunity to connect with other local creatives and showcase your talent.
Musicians and songwriters of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to get involved.
