Beacon Real Industry Job Interviews
Year 9 students put their employability skills into practice on Tuesday 8 September, completing their Beacon RIJI (Real Industry Job Interviews). Students participated in a one-on-one interview with a volunteer from the local business community, giving them the opportunity to experience a realistic job interview and receive valuable feedback.
In preparation, students developed a resume and cover letter and worked on their communication, presentation and interview skills. It was fantastic to see students step outside their comfort zones, approach their interviews professionally and grow in confidence throughout the experience.
A big thank you to our volunteer interviewers and Beacon for providing our students with such a valuable opportunity to develop skills that will support them in future employment, work experience and beyond.
