Massive congratulations to the Matilda Jnr Band:

Amanda Linton, Finn Ibrahim, Willow Ganly, Emma Moffatt, Braydn Beckwith Smith, Angus Moffatt, Lisette Dyer, Hilary Wimmer, Declan Chandler, Liam Biro, Thomas Moffatt, Harrison Sprigg, Keith Busbridge, Liam Carney, Frank Huang, Bob Yi, Michael Wilding and Lee Masters.

They spent many hours rehearsing after school, on weekends and during the holidays to put the music behind the singers, and did a fabulous job at each and every performance. Thanks to all for your professionalism and great musicianship!

Many thanks to our amazing Music Support Group, who staffed the kiosk for each performance, selling treats to patrons, and adding a great vibe to the foyer atmosphere. A truly special music community effort!

Multi -Cultural Day

Music students Althea Faye Golimlim, Bella Ng, Kinshuk Agnihotri (assisted by Diyhan Patel) and Lucas and Louis Wang entertained the school at last Tuesday’s Multi – Cultural event, showcasing their talents on Tabla, Churcubit and Vocals. Thanks so much to all these students for sharing music from their culture with their peers!

Songmakers

VET Year 1 students will participate in this workshop next Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9-3.15pm, writing and recording a song. 

SOLO CAT

Students in years 7-10 will complete their Solo CAT assessments next week, performing in one of the two Performance evenings next Wednesday and Thursday evening, at 7pm in the PAC. 

Music Support are selling snacks at this event, so bring along your gold coin, or tap to pay!

Students  will also complete a 10-minute assessment on their instrument next week.

Assessment times are visible on student Compass timetables.

This assessment replaces the usual music lesson for next week.

WINTER CONCERT

The Winter Concert is on Wednesday June 18th at 7pm in the BHS Gym.

Foyer entertainment from 6.30pm.

All ensembles are performing at this event, so make sure you come along and hear the incredible talent amongst our BHS music students!

VET@ the Barwon Club

VET Bands from Years 1 and 2 are performing at the Barwon Club on Monday 30th June and Tuesday 1st July.

Come along and enjoy a meal at the Barwon Club while hearing some fantastic live music.
