SES Out of Uniform Day

The Term 1 Out of Uniform Day on Tuesday 4th March 2025 was used to raise funds and all proceeds were donated to a vital service that we all depend on: VICSES – VICTORIAN STATE EMERGENCY SERVICE - South Barwon Unit.
The South Barwon SES Unit has been serving the communities of Belmont, Highton, Grovedale, Waurn Ponds, Barwon Heads, and Armstrong Creek since 1977.
As the control agency for floods, storms, landslides, earthquakes, and tsunamis, the SES also provides Victoria's largest road crash rescue network and assists with search and rescue operations. Since its inception in 1950, the SES has relied on the dedication of volunteers who selflessly serve our communities. Essential equipment, training, resources, and administrative needs are funded through the support of grants and community donations to ensure effective service delivery.
The South Barwon Unit includes Belmont High School Alumni among its volunteers, with several students having family members currently serving as operational volunteers.
If you or your loved ones ever need emergency assistance during storms and floods, call the SES on 132 500. We want to thank students and families for supporting The South Barwon SES Unit.
