A prayer for the Fruits of the Holy Spirit

Heavenly Father, plant the seeds of your Holy Spirit within our hearts today. 

Fill our school community with love and joy that brightens every classroom, 

and grant us the peace that calms our worries when challenges arise. 

Help us walk with patience, kindness, and goodness toward one another, 

showing faithfulness and gentleness in all our words and actions. 

Give us the self-control to make wise choices that honor you. 

May these gifts shine through us each day as a light to the world. 

Amen.

It was wonderful to come together with our Year 1 and 2 families for a night of 'Shine'! This faith formation night encouraged families to explore the Holy Trinity, the story of Pentecost and also the Fruits of the Holy Spirit together.

Through prayer, song, and various creative workshops, our students and their families explored these concepts in terms of  learning the knowledge and then also how to apply this knowledge to be a 'light' to others. We had a lot of fun and 'sparkle' over the evening and will continue to 'shine' God's light in the lives of our families and our community!

St Roch's Feast Day: Blessing of the Dogs, Liturgy and Kaboom Incursion!

Last Monday was a very special day on our school calendar, as we joined together to reflect, pray and celebrate the life of our patron saint, St Roch. 

As St Roch is the Patron Saint of Dogs, families were invited to bring their pet dog to our morning greeting and Father Gallacher blessed these pets as part of God’s creation. We were reminded of how important all animals are in our lives and how we need to treat all animals with love and care.  

The school also came together to pray at our Whole School Liturgy. Special thanks to Father Gallacher and our Year 6 Leaders for supporting this.

After enjoying some St Roch activities in the classroom, we had lots of fun at the ‘Kaboom’ incursion! This was a chance to enjoy different activities in multi-level groups and celebrate being a part of St Roch’s School! Students found it ‘exciting, fun, energetic and a great way to bond with our classmates!’ A special thank you to our Year 6 leaders again for leading the groups and helping everyone to have a great experience!  

A big thank you to Mrs Mastoras for providing icy poles for all of the students at the end of the day too!
