Wellbeing Corner: Student Voice in Action!
At our school, we know that wellbeing and play go hand in hand. When our students have positive, engaging experiences during recess and lunch, they return to the classroom ready to learn and thrive. That is why I am so thrilled to share a wonderful success story from our Student Representative Council (SRC)!
Recently, our SRC reps held class meetings to find out how we could make our play spaces even better. The verdict was unanimous: our sandpit needed some fresh excitement! Students shared that they were running short on shovels, buckets, and creative toys to bring their sandcastles to life.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Taking this feedback seriously, the SRC teamed up with the wonderful Mrs Davies and Mrs Hannan. Today was the big day! The SRC officially delivered a brand-new batch of sandpit toys to our eager students. The excitement on the playground was absolutely buzzing. Seeing our student leaders take an idea from a classroom discussion and turn it into reality is what student voice is all about.
A huge thank you to our SRC reps and Mrs Davies for making our school an even happier place to play. Grab a bucket and enjoy, everyone!
