Message from Braham Morris, Assistant Principal

Welcome back to the 2026 school year!
It has been a wonderful start to the year, with students returning refreshed, positive and ready to engage in learning. I’m pleased to share that the school year has begun smoothly, with classrooms quickly settling into productive routines and a strong sense of optimism across the school.
Our building works are progressing well, and it’s exciting to see the continued development of our facilities. The new horticulture shed is on track to be up and running by the beginning of next term, which will provide fantastic hands-on learning opportunities for our students and further strengthen our specialised programs.
We officially launched the year with our Welcome Back Assembly, where we introduced Karlie to our school community. It was a great opportunity to gather together, set expectations for the year ahead and reinforce our shared commitment to learning, respect and belonging.
A special thank you to our SRC for hosting a welcome lunch for all new students. This was a thoughtful initiative that helped our newest members feel included and connected from day one. It was wonderful to see students making new friendships and demonstrating such strong leadership.
School photo day was another highlight, with students looking incredibly smart and proud in their uniforms. These moments capture the spirit of our school community and the pride our students take in representing it.
We are also excited to introduce a new initiative in 2026 – our Breakfast Club. Each classroom now has access to a basket of fruit, vegetables and milk to support students, particularly those who may not have the opportunity to eat breakfast before school. We know that a healthy start to the day supports concentration, wellbeing and learning, and we are proud to be able to offer this support to our students.
In addition, we have introduced a range of new lunchtime clubs to provide students with diverse opportunities to explore their interests, build skills and connect with peers. These clubs are already proving popular and are a great way to enhance student engagement beyond the classroom.
We look forward to an exciting and successful year ahead and thank our families for their continued support as we work together to provide the best possible opportunities for our students in 2026.
Braham Morris,
Assistant Principal.
