Around the Primary Classes

ELC

We are thrilled to welcome our students back for a very exciting Term 3. As we begin the new term, we are filled with excitement and gratitude as the children return from their school holiday break eager to learn, explore and reconnect with their friends and educators.

As a team, we spent our first day of Term 3 on a professional learning journey focused on spirituality and our shared vision for Catholic education. We then came together to discuss our goals and plans for the exciting term ahead. We have many wonderful experiences planned for the children, including Book Week, the Arts Festival, Grandparents and Special Visitors Day and many engaging learning opportunities that will support their growth and development throughout the term.

We are grateful to our families for their contributions to their child's Individual Learning Plan and for the wonderful positive feedback we have received. Your partnership and involvement play an important role in supporting your child's learning and development.

We are also still accepting enrolments for 2026. If you know of any families who may be interested in joining our Early Learning Centre, I would be delighted to provide them with a tour of our service or have a conversation about the programs, opportunities and nurturing environment we offer.

School Holiday Program

Our two-week Holiday Care Program was filled with fun, adventure, and plenty of opportunities for children to learn through play. Children enjoyed exciting excursions to Bounce, the swimming pool, and the ever-popular Kingston Gymnastics Centre, where they challenged themselves, built confidence, and stayed active.

Back at the service, children got hands-on by building a mud kitchen, cooking delicious treats, and creating their own beautiful flower bouquets to take home. To balance our busy days, we welcomed Soul Style for a relaxing yoga session, giving children the opportunity to slow their bodies, practise mindfulness, and finish the program feeling calm and refreshed. It was a fantastic two weeks filled with laughter, creativity, movement, and memorable experiences.

All the Colour from 100 Days of Prep!

What a wonderful milestone to celebrate! Yesterday, our Prep students marked their first 100 days of school with a day full of laughter, learning and fun - complete with grey hair, glasses and walking sticks! From making new friends to growing in confidence and learning so much along the way, we're incredibly proud of everything they've achieved in their first 100 days at Mount Carmel.

Enjoy the happiness these photos depict.
