2026 Arts Festival

Mark it on your calendar!
Our annual MCC Arts Festival will be held on Friday 11th of September between 3.30pm and 7.00pm.
There will be Music, Dance and Drama performances across several stages, an Art Trail featuring work by students from ELC up to Year 10, food and drink options, multimedia presentations, 'street performances’, samba drum processions, perhaps even a staff band performance, all occurring at various locations on the College grounds.
All students will have the chance to participate, either as performer, artist, designer, or at the very least, audience member supporting their peers! MCC Arts Festival is a chance to celebrate the artistic endeavours of all students, not just those who excel in a particular area. With this in mind, all parents and friends are warmly invited to come and support the students.
A draft performance schedule for Music, Dance and Drama items will be published in the coming weeks, and updates will be published on the College Facebook page to assist in planning your afternoon. If advanced notice is given, all efforts will be made to schedule individual students around any pre-existing outside of school commitments that evening. If your child is unable to attend, please ensure that all relevant teachers who may have scheduled them in a performance is aware as soon as possible so that appropriate alternative arrangements can be made.
Silent Auction
After the success of last year, we are once again holding a Silent Auction during the 2026 Arts Festival on Friday 11 September, with all funds raised going towards our Hall upgrade - a space used by students across all year levels.
We’re reaching out to our College community for donations from families and businesses that you own or work for. Contributions might include vouchers, products, services, hampers, tickets, memorabilia, experiences, accommodation, handcrafted items, gift cards and new items. The possibilities are endless! Every contribution, big or small, will help make a difference.
Please contact Caroline Jager via email: caroline.jager@mountcarmel.tas.edu.au for information. Donations are due by Friday 21 August.
Don't miss this fantastic evening of community and the arts and thank you for your support of our fundraising efforts.
