Industrial Action
As a School Council we continue to support the action being taken by staff to resolve ongoing issues including school funding and staff shortages, as well as pay and conditions. We acknowledge that a decision to stop work has an impact on students and families, however Council requests community support by considering:
Alternative care arrangements for your child/ren on Tuesday 24th March.
Writing to the State Labour Member for the Victorian Government who represents ENPS, Danny Pearson, and/or Minister for Education of Victoria, Ben Carroll, to express your views.
For further details, the Australian Education Union’s (AEU) letter to School Council on this matter can be read here.
Parent Payments
Another way to support the school during these times of limited Government funding is to contribute via your annual parent payments (also known as school fees). These payments have a huge impact on the quantity and quality of learning resources provided in our child/ren's classroom. If you haven’t yet contributed but would like to, then you can do this via the Payments Centre on Compass.
TeamKids Feedback
School Council is reviewing our contract with TeamKids as our before/after school and holiday care provider. Your feedback on the service provided by TeamKids is an important part of this review. Please contact the school office if you have any feedback.
Planning for Better Facilities at ENPS
Thank you very much to everyone who offered their support as we gear up to lobby State Government for a major investment and upgrade to our school facilities. We launched a working group and held our first meeting on Friday 13th March to discuss next steps. Over the coming weeks we will draft a project plan and ensure that our vision for facility upgrades aligns with ENPS and education department strategic priorities. Please contact ben.suter@education.vic.gov.au if you are interested in joining the working group.
Warm regards,
ENPS School Council
