School Captains' Report

Wominjeka everyone, and welcome to our fourth School Captain’s newsletter report for 2026.

Last week was super exciting as it was Harmony Week AND Cultural Diversity Week. The 2026 theme for Cultural Diversity Week, Culture connects us all highlights how sharing intercultural stories and experiences fosters understanding, belonging and connection. We are an extremely multicultural community and 43 different languages are spoken at our school. That’s a lot of different cultures! We are so lucky to have such a diverse school community and have the privilege to learn about different cultures, traditions and celebrations. Make sure that you take the time to understand where your friends and classmates are from because we can definitely learn a lot from each other.

A super big well done to all of the Year Threes and Fives for trying their absolute best while completing multiple NAPLAN tests throughout these past few weeks and we are so proud of you all for handling the technical difficulty with resilience and patience. Also a big shoutout to the teachers for staying calm and patient while facing these challenges.

This Friday is our exceptionally exciting Walkathon which will be filled with fun, excitement and SO much colour during our colour EXPLOSION. We also have Cross Country on Wednesday down at Buckley Park so some reminders for that are:

  • Year Threes and Fours are running 2kms
  • Year Fives and Sixes are running 3kms
  • We will be walking down to the park from the school
  • Wear your brightest house colours
  • You can walk instead of running if you would like
  • Have fun!

We hope everyone has an AMAZING weekend and we can’t wait to see everyone around school this week!

“Kindness is the universal language that can be spoken by everyone”

Sincerely your School Captains,

Georgia and Ethan
