Safety Reminder

Respecting Our School Environment

At Belmont High School, one of our core values is Respect – for ourselves, for others, and for our school property. As part of this, we ask all students to take care of our shared spaces and avoid actions such as graffiti or damaging school property.

Recently, we have experienced instances of graffiti and deliberate damage around the school. These incidents are disappointing and go against the respectful culture we work hard to build and maintain.

Such behaviour creates extra work for our maintenance staff, who should be focusing on meaningful school improvement projects—not cleaning up damage. It also comes at a financial cost, using funds that could have gone toward new learning resources, updated equipment, or facilities that benefit all students.

We encourage everyone to take pride in our school and demonstrate respect through positive actions. Let’s work together to keep our environment clean, safe, and supportive for everyone.

Thank you for your ongoing support in reinforcing this message at home.
