Foundation – Year 2 Recap

Our Foundation, Year 1, and Year 2 students have been diving into the core values of teamwork and sportsmanship. Through a variety of exciting parachute games, the students learned how to sync their movements, communicate clearly, and work together to keep the "popcorn" balls bouncing. We also introduced several partner and small group challenges that required students to share, cheer each other on, and problem-solve as a team.

Highlight of the week: Seeing our students high-fiving their peers and celebrating each other's successes, whether they won or lost!

It is wonderful to see their confidence and community spirit growing every week. Keep up the amazing effort, superstars!

Year 3 and Year 4 Recap

Year 3 and 4 students have taken part in a variety of Physical Education experiences these past few weeks, with a strong emphasis on developing skills and deepening their understanding of game play.

Students have explored how modifying rules can improve fairness, inclusion, and enjoyment in games, while also strengthening their teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. Leadership opportunities have also been a key focus, with students stepping into Captain and Co-Captain (Vice Captain) roles to support, encourage, and guide their peers during activities.

Students have now begun a Soccer unit, with excitement building as we connect our learning to the upcoming 2026 World Cup. This unit will continue next term, with students further developing their passing, dribbling, teamwork, and game play skills while demonstrating respect, fair play, and a positive attitude.

Year 5 and Year 6 Recap

Our Year 5 and 6 students have knocked it out of the park over the last three weeks! After mastering the fundamentals of T-ball, the students have officially stepped up to the plate and progressed to softball.

The growth in their technical skills has been fantastic to witness. We've seen incredible progress in their fielding accuracy, pitching consistency, and powerful hitting mechanics.

Beyond the skill development, highlights have been their teamwork and sportsmanship. Moving to softball requires sharp strategic communication and quick decision making, and our year 5/6 students have risen to the challenge.

Highlight of the week: Watching students back each other up on the field, offer constructive encouragement, and genuinely celebrate great plays from both teams.

They are showing true leadership and maturity on the field, phenomenal job, Years 5 and 6!

Wishing you a restful and safe school holidays.

Kind regards,
