Year 1 & 2
Around our level
Our students explored weather and seasons in Geography. They identified different types of weather, discussed how seasons influence clothing and activities, and learned about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander seasonal calendars. Students compared the four-season calendar with First Nations understandings of seasonal change and investigated how observations of plants, animals, and weather can help people recognise changes in nature.

In Wellbeing, our students developed their understanding of healthy relationships and emotions. They explored the qualities of a good friend, discussed ways to show kindness and inclusion, and identified actions that contribute to positive relationships. Students also learned about different emotions and the situations that can trigger them, building their ability to recognise and express feelings, while listening respectfully to the experiences of others.
