Winter Holidays here we come! If you aren't going away these holidays you may need some ideas up your sleeve to keep your busy children busy on those cold wet days, or just some places to go to break up the week.

Quiet Home Activities
Personally, as much as I love having mini adventures with my kids, I love staying home doing some quiet home activities. Kmart is perfect for picking up some cheap paints and craft ideas or you can make some salt dough creations, even big kids love creating these and then they can be painted the next day. You can make salt dough ornaments and decorations with easy ideas found in the link below. Also, don't forget rock painting! I still have some colourful rocks decorating my garden from years ago. Invite a friend or two over and you can sip coffee or tea whilst the kids have fun.

Rest and Be Thankful
Whatever you decide to do these holidays, make sure you take extra time to cuddle your kids just because, find a quiet spot to sit and thank God for all that he has given us. Do what you need to do to fill your bucket and rejuvenate your soul. Have your children tell you the prayer they say in school to you.
I am a Child of God.
I have a Strong Heart and a Strong Mind.
I am loved by God.
It’s who I am.
No one can take it from me.
I’m not what I do.
I’m not what I have.
I’m not what people say about me.
I don’t have to worry.
I can be calm and peaceful.
I can feel safe.
I can trust my friend Jesus, and share his love with the world.
