Another State Title

Congratulations to the St Virgil’s athletes who recaptured the State SATIS athletic title at the St Leonard’s track on the 25th March. This follows two uncharacteristic years when team SVC finished 5th on both occasions. The winning margin was 4.75 points.

A promising outcome was that SVC won pennants for finishing top in the Under 13 and Under 14 age sections.

St Virgil’s has a very proud tradition in relation to Athletics. Since 1961, St Virgil’s has claimed the title on 35 occasions- 35 titles from a possible 60 (the carnival was not held or was abandoned on 5 occasions).

The State title in Athletics follows on from the College’s success at the Head of the River event on the 15 March, The SATIS website has a full set of results along with a listing of age/ event records and title wins.
