NDIS Navigator

NDIS Navigator at Our School- Catherine Price
Supporting Families to Navigate the NDIS
Catherine (Cat) Price is our NDIS Navigator on-site. This role is part of the Victorian Department of Education’s commitment to supporting children with disability and their families. Cat is here to assist parents and carers to better understand and access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). While she doesn’t work for the NDIA or any NDIS-funded agency, she is employed by the school and are available to help you during term time.
The NDIS Navigator can support you to:
- Understand and navigate the NDIS system
- Apply for and access NDIS-funded supports for your child
- Make sense of your child’s NDIS plan and how it can be used to achieve their goals
- Prepare for plan reassessments or variations
- Learn about NDIS employment supports and how to raise concerns with the NDIA or service providers
While she cannot complete applications or paperwork for you, she can guide you through the process, helping you feel more confident and informed. Her support is free, optional, and confidential. She is not a case manager, therapist, or advocate, and she doesn’t approve therapy access at school. However, they can point you in the right direction and help connect you to the right supports.
For more information or to speak with our NDIS Navigator, please contact the school or Cat directly Catherine.price3@education.vic.gov.au
We’re here to support you and your child every step of the way.
