ANZAC Whole School Assembly
On Tuesday, the 29th of April, we held a whole school assembly to commemorate ANZAC Day. We were lucky enough to have a member of the Australian Defense Force, Mr Michael Giampino, as a guest speaker to tell us what ANZAC Day means to him, and to encourage us to reflect on what it means to us. We would like to extend a special thank you to Mr Telford for his performance on the bagpipes at our assembly.
ANZAC Day is an incredibly significant day in Australia and New Zealand’s history, and it is important that we continue to honour and respect all those who sacrificed or risked their lives in World War I and II, and the other conflicts Australia and New Zealand have been involved in so that we do not lose sight of our national identities.
On behalf of the Student Representative Council, thank you for reading this
