Heartfelt Thanks for Your Generosity – Winter Appeal for Vinnies
As the winter chill sets in, the warmth and generosity of our school community has once again shone through. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the students, parents, and families who so generously contributed to our annual Winter Appeal in support of the St Vincent de Paul Society (Vinnies).
This year, our Catholic values of compassion, service, and social justice were truly brought to life as we came together to assist those most in need. Thanks to your donations of warm clothing, blankets, non-perishable food items, and essential winter supplies, we are helping Vinnies reach individuals and families experiencing hardship during the coldest months of the year.
The response to the appeal has been deeply moving. It reflects not only a spirit of generosity, but also the Gospel call to "love your neighbour" in action. Each donation, whether big or small, makes a real difference in the lives of those struggling to keep warm, fed, and supported.
We are especially proud of our students, who participated with such enthusiasm and compassion—raising awareness, collecting goods, and showing empathy and care for others. Your kindness and sense of responsibility toward those less fortunate are truly inspiring.
As part of this the college community participated in our Hearts & Hands Mass, with Father James blessing all that had been collected.
Thank you again for your support. Let us continue to pray for and support those in need, not only during winter, but throughout the year, living out the mission of Christ in our daily lives.
With gratitude,
Kath Jones
