Term 3 Wrap Up

Thank you for a wonderful term of learning. It has been a joy to see how much the children have grown—academically, socially, and in the way they support and challenge one another. They’ve shown courage, curiosity and kindness as they took risks and tried their best.

Our Inquiry Unit was a highlight, with students showing impressive creativity as they designed thoughtful solutions to a range of problems. Their imagination and problem‑solving have been a delight to watch. Next term our Inquiry topic is Cultures. We look forward to learning more about the culture of each family next term.

Wishing everyone a restful break before we begin another exciting term together.

Book Week

What a week it’s been! The children loved bringing in their favourite stories to share, exploring new books at the Book Fair, and rotating through the P–2 classrooms to enjoy different stories and activities. The excitement, creativity and joy they brought to each session made Book Week a real highlight for our whole team.

We also had an amazing time on Friday when we celebrated Book Week with our special parade. We got to see so many amazing costumes from a wide range of different characters and books.

Grandparents & Special Friends Day

It was great to see so many special visitors join us in the classroom, to listen to a story, create our own eggs, visit the book fair and share our robots. Thank you for visiting us!

Grade 1 Literacy

This term, we have seen the children grow in their ability to read fluently. They have enjoyed the different style of teaching with more group based, hands on activities. A big thank you to all who have been regularly reading at home with their child - we can see the positive impact it is having.

Our highlight for writing has been seeing the children write and publish their own Grug story. It has been great seeing their creativity flourish as they share their ideas with each other.

Barry and Frank

Frank spent the weekend with Henry. Frank enjoyed going to Mcdonald's and meeting Henry's other toys. Frank then spent the weekend with Ella, where he was treated to a special outing with some friends, a ride on a Ferris Wheel and a strawberry ice cream!

Barry went to visit Nyapal first. At Nyapal's house, Barry went to Mc Donald's and watched a movie with her family. He liked meeting Nyapal's brothers and sisters and playing with them. Barry then visited Charlie - he had so much fun playing on the Nintendo Switch, and playing with Charlie's other toys.

Barry and Frank are going to have a rest over the holidays, and look forward to visiting more children after the break.
