We have certainly had a busy and exciting last two weeks of term!

In English, students have been putting the finishing touches on their Solar System projects and sharing them with the class. We are so proud of their efforts not only in their research, but also in the way they used a range of digital tools to present their learning. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they presented their work.

In Mathematics, our focus has been on fractions, particularly equivalent fractions. Students have been building their understanding through number talks, hands-on activities, and some fun card games to help consolidate their learning.

In Art and Religion, students have been working very thoughtfully on their artworks for this week’s Stations of the Cross. Using watercolour blending techniques, they created beautiful pieces inspired by simple line drawings, which as it turned out, were not quite as simple as they first appeared! The finished artworks are something they should be very proud of.

To round off the term, we spent two fantastic days at Borambola on Monday and Tuesday, joining with St Patrick’s from Holbrook. Students took part in a variety of activities including orienteering, raft building (with mixed success but plenty of laughs!), putt putt golf, basketball, chess, outdoor games, and GaGa ball. These experiences were wonderful for developing teamwork and leadership skills. On the second day, students challenged themselves with indoor rock climbing where we discovered a few “Spider-Man” talents! This was followed by archery, where some of our children showed off their already developed skills. We were very lucky to have such beautiful weather for the camp.

Back at school, we finished the week with our Cross Country at the Holbrook golf course on Wednesday, followed by our Stations of the Cross on Thursday, and some fun robot Easter egg races, and a lot of cake to wrap up the term.

It has been a full and rewarding couple of weeks, and we are so proud of all that the students have achieved. We hope everyone enjoys the break, safe travels and enjoy your beautiful children.
