Community and Enrolments

Hi everyone, I’m Faith, the new Community and Enrolments Manager at MITS. I’ve worked at MITS for nearly four years and am excited to step into this new role and continue building strong relationships with our students, families and communities.

To start off the year, we held our Year 7 Orientation in Darwin. It was a short but meaningful couple of days where families had the chance to ask questions, meet staff, and prepare for the transition ahead. Students enjoyed a visit to Crocosaurus Cove, and families completed Body Maps—a creative way for us to get to know each young person.

Our 2026 Community Engagement began with a visit to Ngukurr, where Ed and I spent time at Ngukurr School. The community was incredibly welcoming, and it’s clear that Ngukurr and MITS share a strong, ongoing connection.

We will be visiting many more communities over the next two terms, so keep an eye on our social media pages and if we are in your community, please come and say hello!

Early Expressions of Interest are now open, and we encourage anyone considering MITS for next year to submit their application early. Applications close on 1 June.
