Leo Ponto (Year 12 Class of 2024, St Kevin’s alumni), Ngukurr - returned to Melbourne in late September 2024 to commence a plumbing Apprenticeship at Cooke and Dowsett Plumbing Group, thanks to contacts via his Host Family, Fiona Mahon and Adrian Corsello. He is absolutely loving the work and getting up at 4:30 AM every day to get to Beacon Cove in South Melbourne where he is working on a project involving sustainable housing.

Leo is also playing footy for Fitzroy Stars.

Lesharnie Hall (year 12 Class of 2025, Kingswood Alumni), Ngukurr - in December last year, Lesharnie Hall’s Mum Desley, was in Melbourne for the MITS Celebration Dinner. During the day we drove to MLC to take a few photos, as Desley had been part of a group who painted a mural there, 13 years ago. She still keeps in touch with friends she made then, and had a visit from one of them whilst in Melbourne this trip. Such enduring connections.
