Jane Rodriguez 

Assistant Manager at the Senior Girls House

My name is Jayne Rodriguez and I am an Assistant Manager at the Senior Girls House. 

I live in Melbourne with my husband Anderson and dog Tauro. Every day I am inspired working at MITS as I get to see these amazing students' determination and courage, especially as they transition into their partner schools. 

When I was 15, I lived in the Bronx, New York for a year and went to a new school and did my sophomore year (year 10). This experience helped me to understand the challenge of adapting to new environments, which allows me to empathise and support the girls through their daily life here at MITS.

Bernadette Cole 

Head of People and Capability

As the youngest of nine, I grew up believing that battling for bathroom time was a competitive sport. That upbringing turned out to be perfect preparation for my role as Head of People & Capability at MITS.

At home, I’m married to Ano, who shares our space with Princess Nina, the cat who knows she outranks us both.

Every day at MITS inspires me — the warmth of the community, the strength of culture, and the extraordinary young people who show why this work matters. And through it all, I remain fuelled by one dependable force: seafood linguine.
