Sizzle for the paws!

Last week our school community came together in support of a great cause with our “Grill for a Cause, Sizzle for the Paws” sausage sizzle! The event raised funds and collected donations for the RSPCA, an organisation that plays a vital role in protecting and caring for animals across Australia.

The response from students and staff was outstanding, with lines stretching across the courtyard as everyone eagerly waited to grab a delicious sizzling sausage in bread. Thanks to the incredible support and generosity of our community, we managed to raise over $500 in cash donations. In addition, families and students went above and beyond by contributing blankets, sheets, pet food, and other essential supplies to help animals in need.

A special thanks goes to the entire BSC community – students, staff, and families – for their generosity and enthusiasm. Your contributions have made a meaningful impact, and the RSPCA will greatly benefit from both the funds raised and the supplies collected.

A big thank you as well to our Year 9 students, who worked hard to man the BBQ and run the donation stalls with enthusiasm and teamwork. Their efforts ensured the day ran smoothly and successfully.

Events like this highlight the compassion and unity of our school, and we look forward to continuing to support important causes in the future.
