Principal Report

Our school is located on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.

Year 6-7 Transition

Our Year 6 students recently participated in their transition visit to Balwyn High School. This is an important step in preparing them for secondary school, and we thank staff and students for supporting this experience.

School Tours & Readiness Sessions

We were also pleased to host our second school readiness tour for prospective 2027 Foundation families, with a focus on STEM and numeracy. It was wonderful to showcase our engaging learning programs, including robotics and early number development. Our next tour will be held on Monday 20 July.

Community

We are proud of the ongoing work to enhance our school environment. Recent efforts include garden improvements around the stadium and the planting of 150 plants along the exit path leading to Balwyn Road. This initiative was led by our KGT students, and we commend them for their contribution to our school community.

Thank you to the parents who have volunteered as class representatives. Groups will be established shortly. We also warmly encourage expressions of interest from our community to join our subcommittees—your involvement plays an important role in strengthening our school.

Child Safety Standards

Finally, a reminder regarding after-school arrangements: please ensure you have a clear pick-up plan in place with your child. Students must not remain in the office or surrounding buildings between 3:30pm and 3:45pm, as there is no supervision available during this time. We also appreciate your support in maintaining a quiet and respectful workspace for our office staff.

Welcome

I would also like to warmly welcome Sabrina, who has recently joined our school as Administration Officer, replacing Sharon. We are pleased to have Sabrina join our team and look forward to the support she will provide to our staff, students and families.
