Religious Education

This term, we continue to support Confirmation preparation across the school as part of our commitment to the ongoing faith formation of all students from Foundation to Year 6 through Religious Education.

With our sacramental workshops now complete, I am delighted to share that fourteen staff members from across all year levels participated in these sessions. Their involvement has deepened their understanding of the sacrament and strengthened their ability to support not only our Confirmation candidates, but all students in their faith journey.

Tomorrow, our Confirmation candidates will join students from St Therese School and the Parish Catechist Program for a Confirmation Retreat Day. This is a valuable opportunity for our young people to come together as members of our parish community, deepen their understanding of the sacrament, and strengthen their connections with one another.

Over the past fortnight, we have also celebrated several significant liturgical events, including our Year Level Masses, the Feast of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, and the Feast of the Assumption. In preparation for each Mass, teachers work with students to explore and understand the Gospel reading, enabling them to listen attentively to Father’s message and participate more meaningfully in the liturgy and homily.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your love and for calling us to follow Jesus. As we prepare for Confirmation, fill our hearts with the Holy Spirit. Help us to be kind, courageous, and faithful in all that we do. Guide us to share Your love with others and to live as Your disciples each day. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
