Opportunity Class Placement Results – Year 4 Families

Opportunity Class placement results for 2027 will be released to families at 12:00 pm on Wednesday 9 September.

We understand that students and families may be excited or anxious to receive their results. To support the safety and wellbeing of all students and minimise disruption to learning, we ask that parents and carers do not contact their child during the school day via mobile phones, smart watches or other devices to discuss placement results.

Students will remain engaged in their normal learning throughout the school day and families are encouraged to discuss results with their child after school.

Thank you for helping us maintain a calm and supportive learning environment for all students.

Calling all community partners and local businesses

Support our PSSA Basketball Teams with New Jerseys!

We’re excited to share that our PSSA basketball teams are ready to represent our school in upcoming games against 14 other local schools! These matches help our students build teamwork, leadership, and school pride.

Right now, our teams do not have official jerseys, and we’d love to provide them with comfortable, professional uniforms to wear during competitions. New jerseys will boost their confidence and make them feel proud to represent Hurstville Pubic School.

We are looking for community partners or local businesses to help by donating funds to cover the cost of 40 jerseys in various sizes.

In appreciation of your generous donation, your organisation’s logo will be proudly displayed on the jerseys, giving you great visibility and acknowledgement at every game and across our local community.

This is a wonderful chance to support our young athletes and be part of a positive community initiative. Please see the image below of the proposed design of the basketball jerseys.

If you or someone you know might be interested in helping, please get in touch with our Hurstville PS PSSA Coordinator, Mrs. Vicki Koinis via the school email

Thank you for supporting our students and helping them shine on the court!
